A Day at the Beach

I am not typically a fan of the beach.  I find it rather annoying to pack up a carload of toys, snacks, towels, and other necessities to sit in what we Ohioans refer to as sand, and dip my toes into Lake Erie.

I've been to beaches in Florida and Jamaica, too, and didn't care much for them either.

But, the smile on my boys' faces as the dig into the sand, play with their toys, and eat a few snacks erases any bit of grouchiness I feel when I find sand in my bag.

Earlier this week, we packed up the car and made our way to the Headlands.  There was a great breeze, gentle sunshine, and barely any other people to share in our sand.

And, I must confess, that I actually had fun at the beach.
