A Lesson

This keeps showing up on the Internet.  It is lesson from Mr. Rogers (of Mister Roger's Neighborhood fame).

For my boys.

And for me.

When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."

Whatever happens - in this world, in our community, in our home - we have to find a way to be "the helpers." And we have to seek out other helpers, too.  Because that is how we make the world a kinder place.  Creating a team of helpers.
