Thanksgiving is just a few hours away, but our family celebrations got started a week early.
Dan's brother got married this past weekend, and we welcomed a new sister-in-law to the family. The ceremony was beautiful, and the new couple glowed as they shared their first dance at the reception.
Nick and Emily made it a family affair by including some of the nieces and nephews in the ceremony. As the ringbearer, Anthony escorted his cousin Paige, who served as the flower girl, down the aisle.
Anthony (and his daddy) looked awfully handsome in their tuxedos. Jimmy, however, was not going to be outdone by the other gentlemen in our family. He strutted around in a little "mafioso" ensemble, which included red suspenders and a matching tie.
As my sis-in-law Rachel said so eloquently in the blessing before the evening meal, family is the foundation for everything. This celebration reminded us yet again just how important family is... and how much fun they are!
