Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow this morning, so my boys and I decided that we would celebrate the impending arrival of spring.
In the snow.
We bundles up in coats and hats and gloves and scarves, and ventured to our little downtown for celebration. After taking care of a few errands, we stopped by the libray for fun and games.
We read a few books, played with the toys, and worked our way through a handful of puzzles. We haven't been frequenting this library as much as we would like, so it was a nice change of pace to spend a Saturday morning in the middle of books.
Because no celebration is complete without food, we popped into our favorite coffee shop. I enjoyed (nearly) an entire cup of hot coffee while the boys colored some pictures and sampled a few cookies.
Our morning celebration drew to an end, but not before we danced in what are (hopefully) some of the last snowflakes of this winter season. Because, even though it's February, spring is just around the corner.
