Mostly because we are a combination of exhausted and/or lazy, we're begun to let Anthony get into our bed when he wakes up, and he is allowed to watch an episode or two of his favorite show Blue's Clues before we drag ourselves out of bed. As much as I hate letting him watch television, it allows us another thirty minutes of blissful rest, and Anthony gets his television fix.
His favorite episode of Blue's Clues is about a pool party, so when our neighbors invited us to their annual pool party, Anthony was beside himself. We have spent the last two weeks talking about the pool party, discussing what he would wear (swim trunks), what dessert I should make (Rice Krispy treats), and who would be allowed in the pool (definitely daddy, but not mommy and Jimmy).
The big day finally arrived, and Anthony had a fabulous time!
He became "swim buddies" with a few kids, including another little guy named Anthony.
Once he dried off, he discovered the four wheeler on the property, and attempted to take it for a joy ride.
Fortunately, daddy was able to get the keys and take him for a quick spin around the property.
It was neat to see Anthony get so excited for an event like this weeks in advance, and then have such a good time once it arrived. Sharing in parties and events like this with my kids really reminds me to kick back and have fun, because time really does pass by too quickly.
