Indian Summer

The weather was unusually warm for late September, and our little family made the most of our time outdoors.  While Jimmy took his morning nap, Anthony and I did a bit of (temporary) outdoor decorating with sidewalk chalk.

Anthony humored me, and posed for a few pictures as he played in the yard.

Jimmy cheerfully woke up from his nap, and we got ourselves dressed and packed to have lunch on the west side.

After a great lunch with Grandpa, GG, and Aunt Lauren (which included cookies and ice cream), Anthony discovered one of my favorite napping spots - a swing on my parents' patio.  While he never quite fell asleep, he chilled out while GG told him, Grandpa, and Jimmy a few stories.

After dinner this evening, Danny and I took the kids on an adventure to Daniels Park in Willoughby.  Anthony perfected his climbing skills.

Both Anthony and Jimmy spent some time in the swings...

... although Jimmy wasn't too pleased with the experience.

All of my boys enjoyed an imaginary car ride.

We ended our adventure by talking a walk near the Chagrin River. It was a beautiful day outside, and I'm glad we were able to take advantage of one of the last warm days in northeast Ohio.
